Ameya Gupta

Ameya is a creative editor and a visual storyteller. Her passion for editing began (subconsciously) through her interest in music and dance. Having grown up playing the piano, learning ballet, hip hop and Bollywood dancing, Ameya has learnt that rhythm is pervasive in life. Whether it’s a sport, or trying to hit a specific music note, she has an instinctive feel for rhythm and often draws on this to create her cuts.

As she has spent her parts of her childhood in India, UAE and Cyprus, Ameya has had international exposure from a young age, before moving to London where she worked with multinational companies such as The Discovery Channel and BBC. She graduated with a Bachelor of Film Production from Bournemouth Film School, UK.

In 2016, Ameya’s portrait film won at the Cannes Lions Competition, culminating in a trip to France to attend the Cannes Lions Festival, where she trained with Bob Isherwood, former Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Global, on the Young Lions Creative Academy Course. In 2022, Ameya got accepted to the Berlinale festival where she expanded her interest to feature films and docs. She has crafted her own signature style of editing, focusing on visual as well as sound design in both her commercial and cinematic work. This has seen her helm campaigns for branded content, fashion films, music videos and TVCs for brands such as Boss, Cadillac, Emirates, Bloomingdales, Audi, and Sephora.

When not editing, you can often find Ameya booking a flight to her next destination, doing yoga on a mountain top, dancing to Afrobeats, learning new tracks on her ukelele or finding a hole in the wall place to eat especially if it’s in a hidden jazz bar.
